Most common E60 cluster fault. Vertical or horizontal lines of dead pixels on the central info display. Caused by failed ribbon-cable bonding between LCD and driver board. Repaired by re-bonding or LCD panel swap.
Pixel dropoutSpeedometer, tachometer or fuel needle stuck at zero or jumping erratically. Failed X25/X27 stepper motors — common after 100k+ miles. We replace motors and recalibrate needles to your existing odometer reading.
Stepper motorCluster appears completely dead in daylight but works at night, or backlight is uneven. LED replacement and driver-board work. Standard procedure.

Random warningThe E60 M5 cluster has SMG indicator and additional M-specific displays. Same repair procedures as standard E60 cluster but more careful needle calibration on the higher-redline tach.
M5 E60Known E61 Touring issue — rear washer pipe leak causes water under the rear seat which can wick forward and damage cluster. Diagnosed, repaired and the underlying leak resolved.
