Can you convert my imported car's cluster from km to miles?

Yes — almost any modern import. We change the display unit and convert the stored mileage so the reading is genuinely accurate, not just relabelled. The cluster will count in miles from then on.

Does this work the other way (miles to km)?

Yes. Less common in the UK but we do it for cars being exported to Europe, or for owners who prefer kilometres. Same process in reverse.

My import shows km on the cluster but I want it in miles. Is the speedo accurate?

When we convert the unit, the speedo will display in miles per hour and remain accurate — most modern clusters handle both internally. On older imports we'll check the speedo behaviour as part of the visit and confirm before you pay.

What about service intervals and warning thresholds?

Service interval reminders, oil-change counters, and similar are based on stored values in the ECU. When we convert, we also adjust these so they trigger at the right intervals in miles — no random "service due" warnings firing at the wrong time.

Do you do JDM imports (Japanese-spec)?

Yes, regularly. Japanese imports often have features that need re-coding for UK roads too — DRLs, headlight aim, language menus. If your import needs more than just mileage conversion, send the details and we'll quote the whole job.

Will the MOT centre accept a converted mileage?

Yes. The converted figure represents the true mileage of the car (just in different units), and we provide a written record showing the original reading, the conversion, and the new figure. Have that handy at your first UK MOT.
