Diagnostic check includedModern Volvo diesels measure cylinder balance constantly through the crankshaft position sensor. If the ECU doesn't know each injector's true flow rate, it can't compensate properly — and you get the symptoms most drivers describe after an injector swap: rough idle, vibration, occasional smoke, and a check-engine light a few drives later.
